I’ve been obsessed with photography since middle school, back when my portfolio was mostly flowers, the family dog, and whatever random stuff I could convince my friends to stand in front of. Fast forward a couple decades and now I get to photograph couples in love (sometimes with dogs — full circle). Honestly, I have no idea what I’d be doing if it weren’t this. Probably something boring. Wedding photography is my jam, and I feel ridiculously lucky that my job is basically “show up to awesome parties and document the good stuff.”
Quick life snapshot: Grew up in Ohio, graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2012 with a degree in photography, and met my husband that same year. Moved to Madison in 2014, bought a house, got a dog, and then got married — yes, in that order. Our latest upgrade? Cecilia “Cece” June, born January 2023, who’s already mastered the art of the camera smirk.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m probably drinking coffee, chasing a toddler, or convincing my husband we need just one more houseplant.
It’s not just about how your day looked — it’s about how it felt, the laughter, the chaos, and the little bits in between.
I have a ridiculous amount to be grateful for. At the beginning of 2023, my daughter, Cece, joined our family! It has been a wild ride adjusting to life with a tiny human, but she is the cutest thing I have ever seen (sorry, Winston) and I can't wrap my head around how much I love her. I DO still love my adorable corgi, Winston and my amazing husband, Bobby (even more since Cece came along).
We both have pretty big families and are all very close. My immediate family lives out in California, so we don't get to see them quite as much, but Bobby's family is here and I am actually the luckiest that they are all truly my family too in every sense of the word.
When we aren't at home on the couch with Cece and Winston, we are usually out somewhere drinking tasty beers and trying out all the awesome food Madison has to offer (emphasis on cheese curds).
From our very first conversation, my goal is to connect with you as a person. I want to know your story, your quirks, the little things that make you you. Because the photos from this chapter of your life — engagement included — will be some of your most treasured, and I never want them to feel posed, fake, or forced.
On your wedding day, I’m more than a photographer. I’m your hype woman, your calm in the chaos, and sometimes even your sounding board. You can trust me to read the room, anticipate moments before they happen, and capture them in a way that feels true to you.
When my couples look back on their wedding photos, my favorite thing they say is that they remember not just how the day looked, but exactly how it felt. That’s the magic I’m here for — so you can live it fully in the moment, and relive it beautifully for years to come.
