I’ve been dreaming of doing a styled shoot for a few years now, but have never actually gotten the courage up to actually do the work to put one together until this past December. With my family living out in California, I’m always wanting to shoot out there when I visit, so this year when I was home for 2 whole weeks I thought it would be the perfect time to make this happen. All of my vendors who contributed to this shoot were absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have imagined everything coming together more perfectly than it did. For my first styled shoot, I’m beyond thrilled!
The inspiration for this shoot was earthy spring tones and classic style. I loved the location of the Oak Forest, and wanted to play a lot off of that, so the details were chosen carefully to not be too dramatic, but to all work together to enhance each aspect. I also based a lot of the feeling of this photoshoot on a quote by Robert Jordan “You have made a place in my heart where I thought there was no room for anything else. You have made flowers grow where I cultivated dust and stones.”
I was going for a romantic spring feeling that wasn’t overly pretty and girly. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to make this styled shoot happen, and I could not have done it without any of the amazing creatives that I had on my team.
Vendor Love! I am linking to each of their websites and also including everyone’s instagram handles so that you can go check them out and follow everyone!
