Emily + Josh | Madison Engagement Session

May 25, 2016

I met Emily and Josh for the first time at their engagement session this past Sunday! We met up at the Memorial Union Terrace, and it was a GORGEOUS day, which meant it was packed. So, we sat down and chatted a little bit before I threw them into all of the PDA haha! These two were so so cute together, and I loved getting to know them and hearing about their story. They met as students at UW, and Josh knew Emily was the one. They were both in the marching band (at different times funnily enough), had their first kiss at the marching band’s practice field, and got engaged at a football game with the band behind them! So naturally we had to go back to that practice field for some photos that had some real meaning to them. It was my first time photographing in that area, and there were some other seriously gorgeous spots right by the field as well, it was a perfect location! Before we headed that way, we took a few photos at the terrace, then wandered along the lakeshore path to get away from the crowds a bit. Emily had the idea to stop at the Allen Centennial Gardens before our final stop at the UW marching band practice field, and I’m so glad she did! I always forget that those gardens exist, they are so so gorgeous. I had so many favorites from this session, and I can’t wait to share some of them!

Congratulations again you guys, I loved getting to capture your love! <3
