Melissa and Mitch are the kind of people that you meet and instantly feel like you’ve been friends forever. They planned to get married on the family farm where Melissa grew up, and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect location that meant so much to them. It was a gray fall day, and the rain held off for the whole ceremony and all of the family photos! Just as we were starting to take some bridal party photos, a light mist began falling from the sky. So we did the bridal party photos just by the ceremony site, and then hopped in the car with Melissa’s dad to go around to the best photo spots on the farm. I brought my umbrella along, but Melissa and Mitch didn’t care about a little bit of rain, and it made for some super awesome images. The ceremony had been only their immediate families and a few friends, but the reception was where the real party was. They partied the night away with a room full of all their favorite people. The day was completely perfect, I couldn’t imagine it any other way, rain and all.
