Hillary and Steve were married on a beautifully sunny, fall day in Madison, Wisconsin. This fall has been full of some seriously perfect weather, and their wedding day was no exception. We started out at the hotel where everyone was getting ready, and Hillary was super calm. Everything had been running so smoothly that morning, and she had a chance to actually eat some lunch while I photographed some of her beautiful details. While the ladies got ready, the guys were just a few doors down having entirely too much fun (just wait, there are some pretty awesome photos that Amy got of them utilizing the entirety of their little hotel room haha). We all headed to the church to see Hillary and Steve say “I do” and afterward, we were so ahead of schedule, that we decided to take the newlyweds for an unplanned stop at the Memorial Union Terrace for some extra photos before heading to Blackhawk Country club for the rest of the family and bridal party photos. This was seriously one of the most laid back wedding days I’ve ever photographed as far as timeline goes. They had lots of extra time built into the schedule, so when we finished with photos before cocktail hour even started, there was some downtime for everyone to just hang out before the party started, which was really nice (and not very common hah!). The sun was setting behind the golf course, so before the grand march, we stole Hillary and Steve for a few sunset photos and oh mannnnn it was so pretty. We headed back for the reception and these two celebrated the rest of the night with their closest friends and family. This was a gorgeous day, with lots of time for photos, so the post is a little long, but SO worth it, I have so many favorites!
