Katie and Brandon found me online to do their engagement photos a little over a year ago, and they were originally just having me do their engagement pictures, as they were getting married back in Oregon where they are both from! I mentioned that I’d love to travel when we first met, but didn’t really think too much about it (they were planning to have a friend take the wedding photos), so when I got an email from Katie after they got their engagement photos back asking if I’d come out to Oregon to be their wedding photographer, I was over the moon! Traveling is so much fun, I love working in new places, and these two are such a blast to be around, getting to work with them more was the icing on top of the cake.
The wedding day brought the most classic pacific northwest weather you can imagine… rain all day long and lots of wind to top it off. Since they grew up with that weather (and now have an extra thick skin when you add in a few Wisconsin winters!), Katie and Brandon didn’t let the weather phase them, and we went out into the rain for photos anyways! These two were a dream come true to work with, and their wedding party was so amazing standing by them through it all. Their pup, Artie, was around for photos and the ceremony, and he was definitely one of the most well behaved dogs I’ve ever seen (and the cutest!) on a wedding day. I loved the warm, holiday party vibe that they were going for, and it was a night full of laughter, love, and lots of dancing. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their big day!
