Katie and Harris reached out to me maybe a month before their wedding date after deciding to have a small ceremony with just their immediate families and a few of their closest friends in attendance. They had originally planned a big wedding down in Florida where Harris is from, but of course COVID19 threw a wrench in those plans. When they reached out, they had booked Gates of Heaven (the small church in James Madison Park), but the week of the wedding, group gathering restrictions changed (again) and that contract was cancelled. SO they rolled with the punches again and found an Airbnb in Madison with a nice shaded backyard, and had their ceremony there. We first met at Vilas Park for a first look, family photos, and some bride and groom portraits! It was a super toasty summer day, but it was honestly perfect, and the ceremony in the backyard was soooo stunning, I think it was meant to be that way all along. I loved capturing this ceremony, as Katie and Harris really valued the Jewish traditions, and each part had so much meaning. I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from this day with you all!
