Aryeh and Suzu exchanged vows surrounded by family and close friends during a heartfelt Jewish ceremony.

One of my favorite moments happened when Suzu’s sister joined via FaceTime from Japan. Even though she couldn’t be there in person, everyone made sure she felt included in the celebration.

Moments like that remind me what weddings are really about. At the end of the day, they’re about connection.

Throughout the ceremony, you could feel how much love and support surrounded these two. The celebration felt simple, meaningful, and deeply personal.

Portraits at James Madison Park and Period Garden Park

After the ceremony, we headed outside for portraits in Period Garden Park and James Madison Park.

One of the best things about a Gates of Heaven wedding is how many beautiful photo locations sit within walking distance. We didn’t need to drive anywhere. Instead, we simply wandered through the parks and enjoyed the evening together.

Between the historic architecture, mature trees, lake views, and walking paths, this area offers so much variety for portraits.

Because Aryeh and Suzu planned a smaller wedding, we had plenty of flexibility. We moved at a relaxed pace and created a variety of portraits while still leaving plenty of time to spend with family.
