Courtney reached out to me via email about taking photos at a small airport in Wisconsin with her fiance, Kyle’s, family plane, and I was hooked right away. I knew this was going to be a fun session, but I really had no idea what I was walking into until I got there. I had only communicated with Courtney through email, and spoke briefly on the phone with Kyle. And I couldn’t find them online anywhere either, so I also had no idea what they looked like hah! So when I got there to find Kyle wiping down the plane a bit after a short flight from the Chicago area, and Courtney by his side, I was so excited to see how cool the plane was, and how completely adorable these two were together. Also, the airport was tiny and had a lot of really cool old hangars, so there was tons to work with. I hardly had to tell these two what to do the whole session, I just put them where I wanted them, and then they were so natural together, it was a photographer’s dream. Courtney and Kyle have been through a lot together, and are so happy to finally be living in the same part of the world after making it through a lot of long distance periods in their relationship. The way Kyle looks at Courtney is seriously the way every girl hopes to be looked at… they are head over heels in love and it was so much fun to capture that.
