These two are an extra special couple! We’ve been friends since they lived in Madison, but now they are all grown up and living in the big city! They are high school sweethearts, so they’ve been together probably almost as long as they’ve been apart hah! I’m also really excited because I’m not photographing their wedding, I’m actually going to be a guest yay! But of course I was so happy to do these engagement photos with them because… duh 🙂 The lovely Anna Page Photography is going to be their wedding photographer (one year from yesterday!!!), and I’m SO thrilled they will be in such great hands.

We started the session a little later than I had planned, because I forgot to account for the crazy amount of people who would be in their area for the Cubs game that weekend! But it worked out perfectly, because we were just wandering around one of their favorite neighborhoods taking photos that reflected what Chicago truly is to them. It’s not the big skyline shots, it’s the feeling of the neighborhoods. Then we went up to the roof of their apartment building and it was soooo cool! And it ended up being great timing because the sun was setting which made for some really pretty light. Anyways, keep scrolling for some of my favorites from this engagement session!
