Y’all words for this one are HARD. Zach and Clay are so easy to love, and their day was just overflowing with emotion for them from all of their loved ones, but the sweetest thing to see was how palpable their love for each other is. From just the short amount of time I’ve had the privilege of knowing them, it’s easy to see how much they care for each other – it’s not just the wedding day excitement. The amount of photos I delivered for this one was a little over the top, but when you start scrolling, you’ll see why. The day started with the usual getting ready, which included reading letters that they each wrote (tears all around), then they had their first look on the iconic Madison Club staircase, followed by a Rolex watch exchange in the salmon colored hallway around the corner. We headed out for photos around the Capitol – keeping with the classic Madison vibes and the weather turned out to be beautiful despite some earlier reports of potential rain. The rest of the day was full of heartfelt, beautiful and fun moments, but one of my favorites was the first dance. Zach secretly recorded himself singing their first dance song as a surprise for Clay, and it was SO GOOD, Clay didn’t even realize until after the dance was over. His reaction was so so sweet. They kicked off the last portion of the evening with an outfit change and leading in the UW Marching band, which was such a hit with everyone there. That’s the short and sweet of it – I won’t bore you with more inadequate words, we all know you’re here for the photos anyways!
