Sydney and Riley’s wedding day at The Swan Barn Door was truly a day to remember. My hour drive from home to the venue, it was downpouring, like you have to drive slow because your wipers won’t go fast enough kind of downpour. Then, as I’m getting into Wisconsin Dells, the rain cleared, and the sun was shining by the time I pulled into the venue! The air outside was so thick, but we were able to do photos outside. Sydney had always dreamed of getting married in the woods, so when they had to make the call to move their ceremony into the barn, I know she was disappointed. It honestly turned out to be the best thing though – after doing photos outside, everyone was relieved to get into the air conditioning, so not taking a chance to get poured on with an outdoor ceremony was the right call, and everyone was comfortable. The Swan Barn Door is the perfect place to have to move things inside too, because it still feels like you are in the woods – the way they have built this place, it’s so cool. We were able to do a few family photos outside after the ceremony as well before the skies opened up! It rained throughout all of cocktail hour and a lot of the reception – there were even tornado sirens at one point, but the party went on. The rain stopped after dinner, so we snuck out for just a few more couples photos, and it was perfect. I am so excited to share some of my favorites from this beautiful day!
