Where do I even start with this one? Seeing Colleen’s vision come to life on her and Garrett’s wedding day was so so special. Months and months of brainstorming ideas, putting together vision boards, working on details and hearing about it all over phone calls and facetimes on her lunch breaks or the drive home after school – I feel like I had a part of this wedding allllmost as much as my own haha! For those of you who don’t know, Colleen is my youngest sister! Our Mom (Lynne Ricard Arts) has been doing stained glass for almost as far back as I can remember, and Colleen has picked up the hobby in the last few years as well. Together, they made some of the coolest details for this day. The ceremony arch was Colleen and Garrett’s baby (Colleen did the glass and Garrett did all of the woodworking) and then Mom made the seating chart sign, table numbers and the cutest little flower candle holders I’ve ever seen! This whole day was such a labor of love and a true testament to Colleen and Garrett as partners. If I had to pick a favorite part, I think it would be the ceremony. Specifically, the choice that they made to walk down the aisle together. It was beyond sweet, and I know that it was such an emotional moment for both of them to walk down the hill and see everyone they loved waiting there for them.
I’m gonna need to do a whole paragraph to shout out everyone else involved (to my knowledge, I’m sure there are more that I’m forgetting)! The venue is the family property of one of Garrett’s closest childhood friends who is really a brother to him. Our talented sister in law, Karie Ricard did Colleen’s hair and makeup (extensions included!) Celebrity 😉 officiant was our little brother, Emerson. Colleen’s good friend, Melissa created the art for their invitations. Family friends, Block Party did an amazing job on some seriously tasty drinks. Garrett’s parents long time friend, Angel, came out of retirement to be their wedding planner! Colleen’s friend, Katherine, arranged the table florals. Our Dad, Andrew, did some fun hand painted signs as well as the amaaaazing hand painted jean jacket that Colleen wore at the end of the night. Garrett built all of the light stands, bar, and who knows what else lol! Seriously I probably have to stop there because I could go on and on. Just scroll down to see one of my favorite weddings of all time. <3
