I’m obsessed with these two. Truly. Griffin and Michael were SO sweet every single moment I was with them — the kind of couple that just radiates kindness and calm. Their Madison Capitol wedding was intimate, intentional, and completely centered around what mattered most: celebrating their love with the people closest to them.
A Capitol “I Do”
They exchanged vows inside the Wisconsin State Capitol, surrounded by the most beautiful architecture (and even more beautiful emotion). The ceremony was small, simple, and full of warmth — every look, every laugh, every tear felt so genuine.
A Cozy Downtown Madison Reception
After the ceremony, they hosted a cocktail-style reception at Eno Vino Downtown, overlooking the city. It was elegant and relaxed all at once — delicious food, incredible wine, and that feeling of everyone truly enjoying the moment. You could tell Griffin and Michael were just soaking it all in.
A Spontaneous End to the Night
Technically, I wasn’t supposed to capture the after-party, but when things wrapped up a little early, we decided to take a quick walk to Oz by Oz for a few last photos. Best decision ever. Those cozy, spontaneous moments — cocktails in hand, just the two of them, bar lights twinkling — ended up being some of my favorites from the whole day.
Why I Love Intimate Madison Weddings
There’s something so special about an intimate downtown Madison wedding like this. When you strip away all the extra noise, what’s left is pure connection — two people madly in love, celebrating in a way that feels perfectly them. Griffin and Michael’s day was a beautiful reminder that simple doesn’t mean small; it means intentional, real, and full of heart.
