This Token Creek County Park engagement session still makes me smile every time I think about it. Sam and Erma are two of the sweetest humans, and from the second we met up at the park, I felt like we’d already known each other for years. It was buggy (like, VERY buggy) but somehow still unbelievably cute and full of joy.
Exploring Token Creek Together
We wandered through the park, stopping whenever the light felt right or the moment called for it. Sam and Erma have this effortless way of being together… playful, sweet, totally in sync. Photographing them felt like watching two people genuinely enjoying each other, which is exactly my favorite kind of session.
Yes… They Brought Their Cats
And honestly? It was iconic. They brought their two cats (with the help of the most dedicated friend-slash-cat-wrangler), and it made the whole session feel even more personal. The cats were curious, chaotic, adorable… everything you’d want from furry guests of honor. It was such a perfect reflection of who Sam and Erma are and the life they’re building together.
Feeling At Home With Each Other
What stood out most was how comfortable they were being fully themselves. They let me in in such an authentic way, and it felt like such an honor to document them. There was this ease to the whole session …laughter, soft moments, inside jokes — and I left feeling genuinely grateful for the time we spent together.
Counting Down to Whispering Pines
Now I seriously cannot wait for their wedding next year at Whispering Pines. If their engagement session was any indication of the love, joy, and fun these two bring wherever they go, their wedding is going to be incredible.
