Kirsten + Chase // An Intentional Bishop’s Bay Wedding

Feb 2, 2026

This Bishop’s Bay wedding felt full in the very best way. Even with a shorter timeline, Kirsten and Chase managed to experience what truly felt like an entire wedding day, from getting ready all the way to a packed dance floor. Throughout it all, the day never felt rushed. Instead, everything unfolded with ease, reflecting how effortless these two are together.

From the very beginning, their priorities were clear. Family means everything to them, and that value showed up in every part of the day. As their loved ones gathered, celebrated, and supported them, the atmosphere felt warm and deeply connected. Rather than a production, the day felt like a genuine coming together of the people who matter most to them.

A Short Timeline That Still Felt Complete

Although their schedule was more condensed, Kirsten and Chase focused on what mattered most, and because of that, nothing felt missing. We moved seamlessly from getting ready moments into portraits, then into celebration. By keeping their priorities front and center, they created a wedding day that felt intentional, relaxed, and complete. This day was such a reminder that a meaningful wedding isn’t about how long the timeline is. Instead, it’s about how thoughtfully you fill it.

An Intentional Ceremony Experience

One of the most memorable parts of the day came during the ceremony. Kirsten and Chase wanted their guests to be fully present, without distraction, and they didn’t want anyone pulled out of the moment by noticing a photographer moving throughout the space.

Because of that, aside from the processional, they asked me to stay behind the last row of guests during the ceremony. At first, it felt unconventional, and I took a moment to think through how to approach it with care. However, once the ceremony began, it immediately felt right.

By staying grounded in one place, I captured the moments that truly needed to be documented while also allowing the ceremony to unfold naturally. Without the pressure to overshoot every second, I found myself fully witnessing their vows alongside everyone else. Kirsten and Chase understood that their ceremony wouldn’t be photographed in my usual way, and they intentionally chose that experience because it aligned with what they wanted most.

There Truly Are No Rules

Above all, this day served as a powerful reminder that there are no rules when it comes to weddings. You are allowed to ask for what you want. You are allowed to prioritize presence, experience, and connection over tradition. My role will always be to support that vision and help create a wedding day that feels true to you.

Kirsten and Chase’s Bishop’s Bay wedding was thoughtful, family-centered, and deeply intentional. Photographing a day like that was an absolute joy from start to finish.
