Megan and Carter fully leaned into the Friday wedding vibes, and their Lageret wedding was relaxed, heartfelt, and full of joy from start to finish. Even though it was hot for the first weekend of October (Wisconsin really keeps us on our toes), everyone rolled with it, and we kept outdoor photos quick and easy. The day felt calm, intentional, and centered on what mattered most: celebrating their love with their people.
From the very beginning, this day felt warm in every sense of the word.
A Sweet First Look at Their Lageret Wedding
One of my favorite moments of the day was their first look. Megan and Carter shared it outside, and when we turned back toward the venue, we could see bridesmaids swooning through the windows inside. It was one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that made everyone laugh and reminded us how loved these two are.
Laughter-Filled Vows and Being Perfectly In Sync
During the ceremony, Megan and Carter both shared something incredibly sweet in their vows. Without planning it together, they each mentioned how they’re known as the couple who is always laughing in their neighborhood. When they realized they had both included that sentiment, the smiles said everything.
It felt like such a perfect reflection of who they are together. Joyful, playful, and deeply connected. That shared laughter carried through the entire Lageret wedding, from vows to speeches to the dance floor later that night.
A Thoughtfully Planned Lageret Wedding Day
A huge reason the day flowed so beautifully was their amazing planner, Chastity with Copper Feather Events. She helped bring Megan and Carter’s vision to life while also keeping track of all the little details that allow everyone else to simply enjoy the day. As a photographer, having that level of organization makes such a difference, and it was a joy working alongside her.
Everything felt intentional without ever feeling overdone.
Honoring History With a Meaningful Ending
The night ended with one of my favorite nods to the venue itself. Megan and Carter stepped out onto the deck to smoke cigars, a tribute to The Lageret’s history as a former tobacco warehouse. It was such a fitting, meaningful way to close out the evening. Quiet, reflective, and completely them.
Their Lageret wedding was full of heart, laughter, and thoughtful moments woven together beautifully. Photographing this day was truly a joy, from the first look to the very last frame.
