Maisie + Jerrie // Intimate Tuscany Vow Renewal

Oct 6, 2025

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this one. Maisie and Jerrie are two of my best friends in the whole world, so getting to photograph their Tuscany vow renewal was both work and play (the best combo if you ask me!). They chose to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary with an intimate weekend tucked away in the Italian countryside — and it was absolutely perfect.

A Villa Weekend with Friends

The celebration wasn’t just a single day. They rented out a villa that fit 12 of us, so it turned into a long weekend of laughter, good wine, and allll the pasta. From our first night in Lucca having the BEST wine tour and farm to table dinner — to a day trip exploring Florence and taking part in a flower workshop where we created the day’s florals (yes, they turned out gorgeous) — to our vow renewal morning trip to the Lucca farmers market, every moment felt like something out of a dream.

Slow, Sweet Morning

On the day of the vow renewal, we started slow. Think Thai massages, coffee on the terrace, and the most relaxed getting-ready vibe ever. Maisie and Jerrie each got ready at their own pace, soaking it in without rushing — which is exactly how a vow renewal should feel, right?

The Ceremony in Tuscany

Their heartfelt ceremony was everything. Simple, emotional, and full of intention. Surrounded by their closest friends, they spoke new promises to each other that carried ten years of history and love behind them. I still tear up thinking about it.

The Wine Game + Italian Dinner Party

After the ceremony, things took a playful turn with the wine game (let’s just say… that Italian wine is extra drinkable 😂). The night ended with dinner prepared by the villa’s owner — authentic, homemade, and hands-down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We sat around the table, toasting and telling stories late into the night.

Why I Love Destination Vow Renewals

What I love about a Tuscany vow renewal (or really any destination vow renewal) is that it’s not about a huge guest list or the pressure of tradition. It’s about creating a space that feels right for you — whether that’s ten people in a villa in Italy or just the two of you on a cliffside. Maisie and Jerrie’s weekend was the perfect reminder that love deserves to be celebrated in whatever way feels most authentic.

And now, please enjoy some of my favorite photos ever!

The setting can be gorgeous, the makeup and hair on point, the outfits flawless, but it’s truly Katie’s ability to make people feel genuinely seen and comfortable that really brings these photos to life. She has more than an eye for beauty, she has a spirit and energy about her that simply brings out the very best in people. Truly, truly grateful for these memories, captured quite literally, perfectly.
